Amit Parikh, MD is Co-Founder of Kin Health, a consumer health AI platform built by practicing physicians to transform how patients understand and act on their medical care.

Amit earned his MD from Northeast Ohio Medical University, completed his psychiatry residency at Ohio State University, and served as Chief Fellow at Nationwide Children's Hospital, becoming double board-certified in Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

As a practicing sports and child psychiatrist, Amit brings rare clinical depth to health tech, having witnessed firsthand how patients struggle to retain and act on critical medical information after appointments.

Prior to co-founding Kin Health, Amit served as CMO at Bend Health, a national virtual pediatric behavioral care platform, and as CMO at Brave Health, a telehealth mental health company serving health plans.

Kin Health raised a $9M seed round led by Maveron and is tackling a systemic gap in care, as research shows patients accurately recall only 49% of decisions discussed during medical visits, across roughly one billion US physician appointments annually.
