Andrea Villa is the CEO and Co-Founder of ORiS (Orbital Recharge in Space), a Turin-based deep-tech startup pioneering laser-based wireless power transmission systems for satellites and dual-use applications.

Andrea co-founded ORiS while completing his MSc in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, alongside co-founders Anna Mauro, Domenico Edoardo Sfasciamuro, and Francesco Lopez, with the guidance of Prof. Stefano Mauro.

Andrea holds an MBA from MIB Trieste School of Management and brings deep expertise in high-power lasers, optics, and aerospace systems, combining technical rigor with a sharp commercial vision for the space economy.

Under Andrea's leadership, ORiS has been accepted into three of Europe's most prestigious programs: ESA BIC Turin, NATO DIANA, and Thales Alenia Space's Space Business Catalyst accelerator.

ORiS closed a 5M euro pre-seed round led by Earlybird in July 2026, one of the largest pre-seed rounds globally in the space sector, and is targeting a first in-orbit satellite-to-satellite wireless power demonstration by 2027.
