Antonio Gil-Moreno is Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer at MiMARK Diagnostics, a Barcelona-based femtech spinoff pioneering gynecological fluid-based diagnostics for women's cancers.

A physician-scientist trained at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, Antonio has served as Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona since 2010 and began his translational research in endometrial cancer as far back as 1997.

Antonio has authored 285 peer-reviewed articles, contributed to 37 book chapters, holds 5 patents, and has supervised 35 doctoral theses, making him one of Spain's foremost clinical authorities in gynecological oncology.

As CMO, he co-led the development of WomEC, MiMARK's flagship in vitro diagnostic test for endometrial cancer, and has participated in 45 research projects, 20 as principal investigator, bridging deep clinical expertise with commercial diagnostics innovation.

MiMARK has raised over 4.2M euros in seed funding and secured prestigious grants including the EIT Health Wild Card award of 1.5M euros and the EIC Accelerator grant, positioning WomEC as a transformative alternative to invasive hysteroscopy-guided biopsies.
