Antonio Gracias is Founder, CEO, and Chief Investment Officer at Valor Equity Partners, an operational growth private equity firm managing approximately $26 billion in capital. He founded Valor in 1995 after establishing MG Capital while in law school.

Antonio holds a joint B.S. and M.S.F.S. in International Finance and Economics from Georgetown University and a J.D. from University of Chicago Law School. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs and studied at Waseda University in Tokyo as a Nikko Securities Fellow.

Antonio served on Tesla's board from 2007 to 2021, including eight years as Lead Independent Director, helping guide the company through its IPO and growth. He was appointed Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship in 2015 and is a 2009 Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute.

Valor has completed over 160 growth equity and venture capital platform investments, with a portfolio including Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, Reddit, Anduril Industries, Eight Sleep, and Zipline. The firm raised $2.35 billion for Fund VI in 2024 and has offices in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Miami.

Valor was the first institutional investor in Tesla and has invested in transformative companies across biosciences, transportation, food, and technology sectors. The firm pioneered operational growth investing by providing hands-on support to help portfolio companies achieve scale and operational excellence.
