Brandon Grinkemeyer is Co-Founder and CTO at CavilinQ, a quantum hardware company pioneering photonic interconnects that enable scalable, modular quantum computing systems.
Brandon earned his PhD in Physics from Harvard University, conducting research on photonic interfaces for neutral atom quantum systems within the renowned Lukin Group, and previously studied at the University of Maryland and conducted international research with the Browaeys Group in France.
Brandon was selected as one of five highly competitive Chain Reaction Innovations (CRI) Fellows at Argonne National Laboratory, a recognition of his technical vision and the transformative potential of CavilinQ's microcavity technology.
His research has produced peer-reviewed publications in Science and Physical Review Letters, including landmark work on error-detected quantum operations with neutral atoms mediated by optical cavities, co-authored with leading scientists at Harvard and MIT.
CavilinQ has demonstrated near-million finesse cavities at telecom and near-infrared wavelengths, raised $8.75M in seed funding, and is advancing quantum interconnect technology capable of supporting multiple orders of magnitude increases in quantum networking speed.
