Bryce Strauss is Co-Founder at Nominal, the first unified real-time test stack for physical systems, empowering hardware engineering teams across aerospace, defense, energy, and industrial sectors to validate mission-critical systems faster than ever before.
Bryce earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and went on to become a Spacecraft Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin's Space Division, where he worked on interplanetary robotic missions including the OSIRIS-REx asteroid sample return mission and satellites orbiting Jupiter and Mars.
Drawing from firsthand experience managing fragmented test data workflows at Lockheed Martin, Bryce recognized a critical gap in modern hardware testing infrastructure and co-founded Nominal to solve it at scale. He is also a passionate advocate for aerospace education, having served as a guest speaker for dozens of schools, museums, and conferences.
Bryce co-founded Nominal in 2022 alongside Cameron McCord and Jason Hoch, bringing together expertise from Lockheed Martin, the U.S. Navy, and Palantir to build the modern software stack hardware teams have always needed. Nominal has raised over $182.5M in total funding, including a $75M Series B led by Sequoia Capital and an $80M Series B extension led by Founders Fund at a $1B valuation.
Nominal is trusted by the U.S. Air Force, Anduril, and Shield AI, and has achieved 7x revenue growth in just 10 months, becoming the fastest-growing software platform in hardware development. The platform cuts test-to-decision time from days to minutes, serving customers across aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, and industrial manufacturing.
