Candy Yue is the Founder and CEO of Monako AI, a Chinese hardware startup behind Monako Glass, the world's first wearable Linux computer built into smart glasses form, designed to run AI coding agents like Claude Code and OpenAI Codex hands-free.
Candy holds an MBA from Said Business School at the University of Oxford and spent her career as a software engineer focused on infrastructure, before pivoting to hardware entrepreneurship.
Candy deliberately positioned Monako Glass as a developer productivity device rather than a consumer gadget, targeting software engineers, AI researchers, and technical professionals underserved by mainstream smart glasses.
She gained access to the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub and has drawn on her software engineering background to design MonoOS, a custom Linux-based OS with a Lua application layer enabling ultra-lightweight apps of just 200 to 500KB.
Monako Glass launched to global media attention in June 2026, earning coverage from The Street, Digital Trends, and Yahoo Finance, with early supporter preorders priced at $399 and prototypes targeting shipment by August 2026.
