
Carla Gómez Cano is Co-Founder and COO of THEKER Robotics, a Barcelona-based AI robotics company pioneering a new category of AI-native generalist industrial robots that adapt in real time to complex environments without manual reprogramming.
Carla holds a degree in Industrial Electronics and Automatic Control Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and a Master's degree in Taxation from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, with early career experience in engineering and business development at PUCRA UPC.
Carla was named the top entrepreneur in Catalonia by EAE Business School Barcelona and was a finalist (the only Spanish representative) in the prestigious EIT Manufacturing RIS LEADERS 2023 Competition in Brussels.
She co-founded THEKER in 2022 alongside engineer Jiaqiang Ye Zhu, growing it from a seed-stage startup to closing Europe's largest-ever robotics Series A of $85M, backed by CRV, Samsung, LVMH, and Inditex, among others.
THEKER's robots are already deployed inside live Inditex production facilities, and the company previously raised the largest seed round in Spanish startup history, cementing its position as a defining force in global industrial robotics.
