Chetan Kulhari is Co-Founder and CEO at Midcentury Labs, an applied research lab building data and simulation infrastructure for physical AI and robotics.

Chetan studied Computer Science (AI Track) and Economics at Stanford University, graduating in 2023, before co-founding his first venture, Magic (YC S22), an AI-powered assistant platform.

Chetan identified a critical gap in robotics development: the absence of an internet-scale dataset of human actions for training physical AI systems, and set out to build it.

Prior to Midcentury, Chetan co-founded and led Magic as CEO, a Y Combinator S22-backed startup, gaining deep experience in AI product development and early-stage company building.

Midcentury emerged from stealth with a $15M seed round, amassing over 2 million hours of first-person human video data across 50+ environments and 20,000+ tasks, and developed Matrix, a simulation platform enabling robots to train virtually before real-world deployment.
