
Chris Schagen is a Berlin-based serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and startup advisor currently serving as CEO of Terramate, a code generator and orchestrator for Terraform, with a deep focus on developer-facing enterprise software.
Chris studied business administration at WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management and went on to co-found multiple ventures including Wooga (exited to Playtika), Linklift, OAS, and Mundwerk, before running the US business of Jamba/Jamster.
As former CMO of Contentful, Chris helped scale the company from $0 to $50M in ARR, building the entire marketing department from scratch across product marketing, developer relations, demand generation, and field marketing.
A prolific angel investor in roughly 35 companies, Chris focuses on enterprise software startups that serve developer audiences, with portfolio companies spanning durable execution, stream processing, ecommerce, and AI automation, including an investment in Restate.
