Daphna Langer is Co-Founder and CEO of Voltify, a US-Israeli cleantech startup building battery-powered locomotives, fast-charging systems, and renewable microgrids to decarbonize the global freight rail industry.
Daphna served as an officer in the Israeli military and worked in international relations within the defense establishment, later managing Reichman University's startup accelerator and founding an earlier venture through the Zell entrepreneurship program.
With a Computer Science and Entrepreneurship degree from IDC Herzliya, Daphna brings a rare blend of deep tech fluency and climate conviction, having advised multiple early-stage climate companies before identifying the massive energy cost opportunity in freight rail.
Prior to Voltify, Daphna held CEO and co-founder roles at Wisor, an AI and NLP price-quoting platform for freight forwarding, and Valor, a BI and AI data analytics company, and also served as an advisor at RepAir Carbon Capture.
Voltify raised a $30M Seed round co-led by Aleph and Fortescue, secured a paid pilot with one of the world's largest Class I rail operators, and has amassed over $50M in contingent purchase orders, targeting a reduction of over 50 million tons of CO2 annually by 2035.
