Denis Gavrilin is Co-Founder and CFO at Comfi, a B2B embedded finance platform transforming working capital access for SMEs across MENA. He brings extensive experience in fintech product growth, scaling operations, and risk management.

Denis holds a Master in Finance from New Economic School and previously held roles including Head of Risk and Managing Director at Ingosstrakh Bank. He also serves as a lecturer at New Economic School, teaching risk management and financial regulatory compliance.

Denis is a coach at Skolkovo Startup Academy and developed a comprehensive risk management course at New Economic School. His expertise spans credit risk assessment, market risk management, and operational risk analysis.

Comfi raised $65M in Pre-Series A funding led by Iliad Partners in April 2026, with participation from Yango Ventures, Raw Ventures, and debt facilities from Partners for Growth and Shorooq. The founding team combines firsthand exposure in financial services with deep SME cash flow expertise.

Comfi has processed over 15,000 invoices and serves more than 1,000 clients across MENA, working with 4,000+ finance leaders. The platform enables suppliers to offer 90-day payment terms while getting paid within 24 hours through AI-driven underwriting.
