Dr. Fleming Bruckmaier is Co-Founder and CTO at QuantumDiamonds, a pioneering Munich-based semiconductor inspection company using quantum sensing technology to revolutionize chip defect detection.

Dr. Bruckmaier earned his Doctor of Science in Quantum Sensing from the Technical University of Munich (2019-2022), where his doctoral research on NV-center quantum sensors for chemical analysis revealed transformative applications in semiconductor manufacturing.

At a UnternehmerTUM workshop, Fleming connected with CEO Kevin Berghoff, and together they spun QuantumDiamonds out of TUM in 2022, translating cutting-edge lab quantum physics into a first-of-its-kind commercial chip inspection platform.

Under Dr. Bruckmaier's technical leadership, QuantumDiamonds launched the world's first commercial quantum chip inspection device (QD m.0), secured €91 million in total funding, and became the first startup approved for manufacturing funding under the EU Chips Act.

QuantumDiamonds is now engaged with nine of the world's ten largest semiconductor manufacturers, with live deployments in the U.S. and Taiwan, and a team of 70 engineers scaling rapidly to meet global chipmaker demand.
